Welcome to the Redesigned Site!

Hi. This is the newly redesigned site for me, artist and astrologer, Shelley Overton. The site is meant to showcase all the things I create. I've been an artist all of my memorable life. I've studied astrology since I was 12. I have been painting since I was 18. All of these endeavors are passions of mine. I have an entrepreneurial spirit, and since I do, I wanted to combine the passions and businesses I do into one place. I am in the process of developing another business, Wishful Thinking, with a partner in California. I don't want to give away too much, but it is creative, and spiritual at the same time. I can't wait to share more with you...that ETA is the fall.

On this site I have included links to my art, orginal and prints, shopping for the lifestyle products I create with my graphic designs, and much more. I am including a portfolio of some of the client jobs I have done over the years, including (but not limited to- haha) book covers and layouts I've designed, CD covers for musicians, and murals I've painted for residences and commercial spaces. All the work I do is exciting to me, and I am extremely grateful to continue expressing my inner self, and sharing her with all of you.

As I've grown in my life, I realized that I needed to express the spiritual side of me. Because of that, I have set off down another parallel path, Astrologer. Astrology has been one of the guiding forces in my life, along with Nichiren Buddhism, but that's another story. Around 2009, I got the nerve to call in to a national psychic radio show on NewSky Radio, a CBS company. I talked to host Lisa J. Smith, and after a couple calls, she took me on as her weekly astrologer. We got a lot of calls, but Lisa always had a hard time with the astro speak. It was difficult giving readings without talking about planets, signs and aspects. Not only was that the language of astrology, as an intuitive astrologer it was the way I opened up to the informational channels. After a year, she and I went our separate ways amicably, but I missed the radio. I soon found Blogtalkradio.com, and started my own "radio" show. I have hosted AstroEnergy since 2010. I developed another spiritual show, called "The Spiritual Spa" with a friend. We did that for a year, then she moved to Denver, my hometown.

Over the years I have continued with AstroEnergy, I have hosted numerous guests, including Barbara Mackey, Jorianne the Coffee Psychic, and Joyce Barry. I keep striving for new ways to grow, so I am currently working on a beginners' astrology book. I am excited to finish it by the fall. Coupled with that will be an online video course I am developing in tandem with the book. The future looks bright.
