It seems the energies have been particularly tough recently. So many of you are asking "what's going on?" Well, it isn't just one thing. Actually, it is many things. I'll list them, then we can discuss them. We have a Grand Trine in water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. We have a Grand Trine in earth, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, Mars went into Aquarius in mid-May, and turned retrograde at the end of last month for the summer, re-entering Capricorn the second half of August. Jupiter turned from retrograde to direct on July 10th in Scorpio. The New Moon at 20° Cancer and partial solar eclipse, Mercury retrogrades on July 25th in Leo, and a Full Moon total lunar eclipse at 4° Aquarius on July 27th. It is a lot!
Grand Trine in Water:
Grand Trine just means that three planets are around the Earth in orbit at 120° (1/3 of a circle) apart from each other, creating a triangle in the sky. Water rules emotions, receptivity and money. It is the energy of desire and sentimentality. The water signs are close to the esoteric/psychic energy. This is where we are feeling emotional. Sun, Jupiter and Neptune are the planets involved. Sun is ego and self, in Cancer brings home, and self-nurturing issues into the mix. Jupiter (more on that further on) is in Scorpio, and this is about letting go of old psychological angst. This is about self-value. Finally, Neptune, also newly retrograde in late June, is about connectedness to a higher purpose or power. We are sentimental, but in retrograde, we can be more practical about our emotions. This is where we can see things more from a material world perspective, and not merging psychically with others as quickly, like when Neptune is direct. Look to have issues around mom, family or domesticity come up. We may a difficult emotional time around our house or home. We can have old energy come up around nurturing from our mothers, or family support. This is meant to help you get clear about your personal worth within the family unit.
Grand Trine in Earth:
This Grand Trine in water involves Venus in Virgo, Uranus in Taurus, and Saturn (Retrograde) in Capricorn. Earth energy is the energy of the material world. What do we value, in a material sense. Venus is what we desire, in Virgo, we desire work. This is what makes us feel good in our lives, purposeful. Taurus is a more literal interpretation of value, i.e. money, property. Uranus is power, personal power and authority. Do we have freedom of money, and autonomy to do what we truly want to do moment to moment? Are we free to think how we think. It is. also, entrepreneurship. We are feeling a desire to create something, a business, or an item, class, whatever, to market. We are aware of the "market" with clarity, and have a desire to contribute to our bottom line (dollars or other symbols of our material value). Finally, Saturn in Capricorn is career, structures, fathers and issues of the physical body, which Uranus in Taurus can be as well. Capricorn is more skeletal. Earth trines can bring difficulty around money, but like any trine energy, it will be difficulty based on karmic lessons which will end in a benefit. Trines are considered positive aspects, but when they occur, especially Grand Trines, I find they can challenge us to move out of outworn situations, and may be emotional, or in the case of earth signs, monetarily challenging.
Mars Retrograde:
Mars just entered Aquarius recently (June 25th). We had a chance to feel the wonderful power behind detachment. We were at the beginning of removing sentimental items, clearing the clutter, material, emotional and relational, from our lives. Hand in hand with Capricorn planets of Saturn and Pluto, currently, we are being directed to remove the blocks, and get real with ourselves, and the situations we have had fear from. With the retrograde motion, we have Mars' need to move forward, and TAKE ACTION being curtailed. This means we can be very frustrated with outcomes. Things we thought were moving forward are not, now. We feel thwarted. This will continue for a couple months! Just know that we are meant to decide if what we were moving forward with is REALLY what we want, It probably is. When Mars gets back into Capricorn, August 14-26, we will have a couple weeks of dealing with authority issues. Bosses, government authority, and the police or firefighters and emergency situations are all fair game for interactions at that time. In the sign of Aquarius, look for multiples, especially around men and boys, an example is the rescue of the Thai boys in the cave.
Jupiter Direct:
Jupiter retrograde acted more like Saturn...restrictive. So it is a good thing it is now direct. Jupiter, by nature, is about self-interest. It helps us act on our own behalf. In the sign of Scorpio we get deep, deep into our own psychology, and emotions. This energy will help bring us out of our pessimistic mopiness. We are able to cut and run. This may be literal, as Jupiter is the planet of action, movement, and moving on. Wherever Jupiter falls in your chart right now, 13° as of turning direct, you will feel more free, and lighter. You can gain hope. This is the positive energy in all this upheaval. We do let go of old relationships which aren't helping us in our paths or missions. Look for this to increase as we get closer to November, and Jupiter's transit into Sagittarius, its own sign.
New Moon partial Solar Eclipse:
The New Moon in Cancer highlights new growth around home and family. This can be literal, new family, or it can be a very fertile time for planting seeds of our familial interests, for instance new decorating, or renovations. The New Moon falls on Thursday, July 12th. This highlights home, and opposes career, and those who would take you away from home, and family. Pluto in Capricorn is opposite this aspect, so it adds the dimension of opposition to the current authority, or career trying to influence you. The solar eclipse adds to the profundity of the event, awakening us to new aspects of ourselves.
Mercury Retrograde:
Mercury retrograde in Leo means we will have hyperbolic words come back and bite us. Leo is given to larger than life language, and what we say during this time will be taken wrong, or can be called out for what it is. Leo needs to connect and relate, but Mercury is detached to some extent, as it is a neutral, cerebral energy. In retrograde, Mercury forces us to go back over our words, contracts, short distance travel (repeat trips). It can wreak havoc on our communications via electronics, so we miss calls, misunderstand people, or just disconnect or misconnect. We can misspeak, as well. Short and to the point, expect more social stress, especially with children, or relationships and friends.
Full Moon Lunar Eclipse:
Full Moon in the sign of Aquarius on July 27th is purported to be a difficult one. One reason is because the full Moon is joining both Mars retrograde, and the South Node of Fate. The Sun will be at the North Node of Fate, which can bring kudos on an ego level, but the price may be at the release of a business situation, or what was perceived to be a close friendship. In families, it involves fathers (Leo Sun) and mothers and sons (Moon/Mars). The mother/son energy is karmic from past lives. and the father energy brings a balance, or counter point to the mother/son situation. There is a detachment involved with this energy, potentially from the father. It is karmic, and part of story of those involved. Lunar eclipses highlight emotions, or the detachment from them in the case of an Aquarius Moon.
If you see your situations in these paragraphs, I hope you know nothing lasts forever. Even those who transition we eventually meet up with again on the other side. You are a lucky person to have family and friends you trust to help heal. Know that we are experiencing a time absolute shift. Our lives are meant to grow and release. This is that time.
