Moving into Autumn, now a month old, we see the faster moving bodies in the heavens transiting into Scorpio. As a reference:

Scorpio is ruled by the planet Pluto. Pluto packs the biggest punch, in my opinion, of all the planets in our solar system. Pluto is Plutonic. It will stubbornly stand its ground, until such time as he realizes it is futile, then he will wipe out the object of attention, and start over. Scorpio LOVES deep emotional connections to others. Scorpio needs to commit. It is the sign of commitment, research, covert behavior, and so much more. Scorpio can be intense, as that is their reputation. To understand this behavior, know that Scorpio-influenced people are SO in touch with their emotions, and those of others - through empathy - that they feel everyone else will see just how much they care. And don't be fooled, they hurt because they care.
Scorpios are reliable, and deeply invested wherever they deem it valuable. If a Scorpio is in your life, know that they will be there until they have been hurt so much it finally sinks in that the situation won't change. At that time, they will be gone, and you may not know what hit you. So the lesson is to treat a Scorpio well. That means consideration, and emotional sympathy.
Scorpio has an innate fascination with the dead, which is why they rule death and rebirth. Their area of the sky also includes politics, mysteries, magic, the occult, mafia, cemeteries and ghosts. This is probably why this time of year is perfect for Halloween, and Dia De Los Muertos.
As Pluto is in Capricorn, and Jupiter moved into Scorpio for the year, Jupiter's transit through Scorpio takes on a deeper meaning, if that's possible. The connection of Jupiter to telling "what is" means we will be seeing even more scandals coming out, especially in politics. Capricorn is the sign of government and authority figures. VIPs will be falling left and right, and Harvey Weinstein is leading the pack. Even though there are dramas, which Scorpio understands clearly, the positive side is that Jupiter is buoying the usually deep, depressed energy of Scorpio, and is in one of the best aspects, sextile, to Pluto. These are the "times which try men's (and women's) souls", but in the end it will be to our benefit, Jupiter will guarantee it.
As for Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars, this will be the time where we interact with people closer to us in a more deep and meaningful way. It is emotional, can be trying, but will be significant to our psychology, and emotional transformation. This is a time to realize how much emtotional energy we put into others with less reward than we would like. That means we are learning the lesson of clearing out old emotions, and detachment.
We are learning our value to others, and their value to us. This is Scorpios bottom line lesson. It isn't easy, in fact it is one of the hardest outside Saturn's lessons. But we are all going through it together, if that's any consolation.
